Our History

Aceh is one of the provinces in Indonesia that is given special status and is also given special autonomy. Districts Aceh Tengah is one of the districts in Aceh Province, Indonesia. The capital city is Takengon, a cool, small town on one of the ridges of the Bukit Barisan mountain range that runs along the island of Sumatra. The road that connects the three cities passes through an area with very beautiful views. In the past the Gayo area was a remote area before road construction was carried out in this area.

Gayo Lauser Antara Cooperative was formed in July 2015 and obtained a deed of establishment in September 2015 with deed number 518/139 / BH / 1.5 / IX / 2015. Gayo Lauser Antara cooperative administration office is located on Soekarno-Hatta street kp. Empus Talu, Bebesen Takengon District, Aceh Tengah.

The co-operative was formed because of a strong desire to improve the welfare of members towards a more decent life. With the best quality coffee produced by members, the co-operative seeks to improve the economic conditions of members.

Gayo Lauser Antara Cooperative wasfounded in 2015, and has 771 members,able to export Green Ready Export GR1 about 35 containers every season /year. All members are focusing on improving the farming production of the small farmers and increasing their yield.
The Coffee Farmer’s Co-op
The business field of the Gayo Lauser Antara cooperative includes the coffee trade produced by cooperative members who all work as coffee farmers with a total of 466 total farmers.The concept of organic farming will continue to be maintained and developed for the implementation of member coffee farming techniques.
